Strawberry Banana Jam

  • 4-3/4 cups strawberries
  • 3 bananas
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 box Sure-Jell
  • 1/2 teaspoon butter
  • 6-3/4 cups sugar


  • Mash all fruit and add lemon juice. Stir in pectin and add butter. Bring to a rolling boil. Stir in sugar and bring back to a rolling boil. Cook 1 minute while stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Skim off foam. Fill jars, leaving 1/4-inch headspace. If canning, use the water bath or freezer methods.
