Applebutter Cake

Applebutter Cake

  • 1/2 c. butter softened
  • 1-1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2-1/2 c. flour
  • 1-1/2 t. baking soda
  • 1 t. Salt
  • 1/2 t. nutmeg
  • 1/4 t. Allspice
  • 1-1/2 c. canned applebutter
  • 1/2 c. Raisins
  • 1/2 c. Pecans chopped
  • powdered sugar optional


  • Cream butter; gradually add sugar, creaming until light. Add eggs, beating well after each addition.
  • Sift together dry ingredients. Add alternately to creamed mixture with applebutter. Stir in raisins and nuts.
  • Turn into greased and lightly floured 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until tests done. Cool in pan.
  • When cool, dust with sifted powdered sugar, if desired.
