Thanks to matching funds from CoBank’s Sharing Success program, Rural Electric Convenience Cooperative was able to award $5,000 in grants to schools in Chatham, Edinburg and Pawnee. Edinburg School District will use the funds to develop a S.T.E.M. lab and Ball Elementary is sharing its grant with Glenwood Elementary to purchase technology magazines, S.T.E.M. lab equipment, educational games and books. Pawnee High School will purchase wireless microphone equipment for its music/theater department.
Auburn Helping Hands received $5,000, a portion of which will be used to purchase approximately 125 coats for children and families in need.
Since 2012, CoBank has been matching cooperative funds to help charitable organizations across cooperative territory.
