Buttermilk Pie

Buttermilk Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 T. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 400 F.
  • In medium bowl, blend together butter and sugar.
  • Add in flour and mix.
  • Add vanilla and eggs and blend well.
  • Mix in buttermilk.
  • Pour into pie shell.
  • Bake for 5 minutes. Lower oven to 350 F and bake 40-45 minutes.
  • Cool.
