Chocolate Mountain Top Cookies
Ingredients:
1pk big marshmallows cut in half (set aside)
1 and 1/2 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup cocoa, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup shortening, 1/2 cup carnation milk, 2 tbs water, 1 egg, 1 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Sift together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Add shortening, milk, water, egg, and vanilla. Mix until well blended. Drop small teaspoons of cookie mix onto cookie sheet. Bake 6-5 minutes at 350 degrees. After you take cookies out of oven, place a marshmallow cut side down onto each cookie. Makes several dozen.
Fluffy Cocoa Frosting:
3/4 cup Hershey’s cocoa, 4 cups confectioner’s sugar, 1/2 cup of margarine, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/4 cup of carnation milk.
Mix cocoa and sugar, cream with butter, add vanilla and milk. Stir until smooth.
Once all cookies are done and cooled. Icing each one completely.
