Ham and Potato Corn Chowder

Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter or cooking oil
- 1 onion diced
- 2 carrots chopped
- 2 stalks celery chopped
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups milk
- 1-1/2 pounds potatoes diced
- 8 ounces ham diced
- 1 cup corn
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat butter or oil in large pot over medium-high heat. Add onions, carrots and celery and cook until tender.
- Mix in flour and cook until flour is lightly browned.
- Slowly stir in broth and add milk and potatoes. Bring to boil, reduce the heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.
- Add ham and corn and cook until heated. Season with salt and pepper.
