Grandma Orth’s soft molasses cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup molasses
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup sour milk or cream or 1 cup salad cream
- 2 teaspoons soda level
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons ginger
Instructions
- Enough flour to make a soft dough. (About 5 cups) Do not roll out too thin. Do not bake too long, about 10 minutes at 375°. Frost while still warm with powdered sugar frosting. Recipe takes 1 lb. powdered sugar for frosting.
