As Chairman of the Board for the Macon County 4-H & Extension Foundation, Duane Noland has a unique fund raising idea he thinks could spread to other counties in Illinois. He developed a wagon to pull to farm fields during harvest for grain donations that would help raise funds for the 4-H program. “In 2011, we received $15,000 in grain donations and we are on pace to exceed that this year,” said Noland. “We did not use it last year because of the drought. This effort funds our annual scholarship program, conference fees and travel.”
